Swarm by Zaha Hadid

The Swarm “chandelier sculpture ” was designed by the one and only Zaha Hadid, as we already know Hadid is mostly known for her extraordinary, sculptural buildings that push the boundaries of engineering and technology. The Swarm is an incredible hanging sculpture located in the lobby of the Victoria and Albert museum in London, an abstracted organic form made by the young British furniture manufacturer Established & Sons. It is composed of 16,000 suspended black crystals, each suspended by hand on individual wires.Because it has no internal light the piece is only considered a sculptural chandelier, getting its light source from the arched windows in the lobby.
